STANLEY SHING
Evolution has changed so much since the beginning
When I started with Evolution in December 2004, I picked up my PPE which was a shirt and Stop/go bat. I
was told to be at Noosa on Monday. I did my one shift in and was given a 1 watt radio, and shown how to
use it. That was the last job of 2004, so I got a call in Jan 2005. The rest is history .. that’s how my Career
with Evolution began!
I have had many experiences with Evolution, one of them was when Queen Elizabeth II came to Brisbane
to see the new CityCat. I was involved in the road closure with QPS. From Kingsford Smith Drive to the
Nudgee Service Station there were 150 QPS motor bikes and just as many cars. QPS told me to hold traffic
that went through “Road Closed” Signs. I waited for the motorcade and Police escorts to arrive, then Queen
Elizabeth ll got out of the car and walked over to the brand new CityCat.
Here are a couple of things I’ve somehow collected over the years.
